Staff Parents and Carers Network Launch

To support all categories of University staff, a Staff Parents and Carers Network will be launched on 28 March 2019.

The purpose of the informal Network, supported by the University, is to support the working lives of staff who have these off-campus responsibilities by:

– Providing a confidential forum to share knowledge and experiences through networking
– Raising awareness of the needs of working parents and carers through events and initiatives
– Providing an informal point of information and points of contact

Join us in Parliament Hall for this opportunity to meet other working parents and carers here at the University. This will be primarily a social meeting, but we will also be seeking suggestions and requests from attendees for future events/speakers and looking to network members to give guidance on the format and frequency of network meetings.

Tea, coffee and cake will be provided. Children are welcome. To help us anticipate numbers for catering and minimise waste, please register for a ticket below.

Any staff members who are expectant parents or have parenting responsibilities, be it as birth parents, through adoption or fostering or as step parents, or are caring for a dependent whether they are ill, elderly or disabled family members, friends or partners, or any combination of the above are welcome to attend.

To join the mailing list to find out about future network events, please email [email protected].
