St Andrews Voices: St Andrews Scottish Songbook

Jamie MacDougall (tenor)
Scott Mitchell (piano)

St Andrews Voices and the University of St Andrews launch the St Andrews Scottish Songbook, a new
collection of 22 arrangements of Scots and Gaelic songs for voice and piano. The arrangements have been made
by a remarkably diverse group of composers either born in, or living in, Scotland. These include Sir James
MacMillan, Eddie McGuire and Mary-Anne Kennedy as well as young composers still at school, or studying at the
Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and singer-songwriters from the world of Scottish traditional music. The songs include much-loved favourites by Burns, songs from Tayside and Orkney and Gaelic songs from the Highlands and Islands. The voice of classical music in Scotland,
Jamie MacDougall, is joined by one of the country's finest accompanists, Scott Mitchell.

Admission: £15, £5 (UoSA students, children)
