Event Details

Katelyn Emerson is one of the finest young organists in the world, having won the 2016 American Guild of Organists Young Artists’ Competition. In this concert she will make her Scottish debut, performing on the historic, unaltered, 1890 Hill & Son organ at Lochee Parish Church.

The programme includes music by Parry, Vierne and Bach, Widor’s Organ Symphony no. 6 op. 42/2 and the World Premiere of Light in Darkness by Kerensa Briggs, commissioned by Choir and Organ magazine as part of their year-long new music partnership with the University Music Centre.
