St Andrews Organ Week: Catalina Vicens in concert - £15, £12, £5
One of the most sought-after performers of early keyboard instruments in the world, Catalina Vicens combines an international performing and teaching career with the post of custodian of the San Colombano Museum in Bologna, home of one the world's most important collections of historic keyboard instruments. This concert, featuring music by Guillaume de Machot and Francesco Landini, profiles Vicens' dynamic musicianship at the Medieval organetto, an instrument she has almost single-handedly brought into the musical mainstream. She will also perform on a copy of a 16th century Italian virginals by English craftsman Alan Gotto.
