Join rising stars of the UK jazz scene Ben Shankland and Sam Hancock for the centrepiece
concert of JazzWorks' inaugural St Andrews Jazz Festival, in an evening of new and classic
jazz guaranteed to groove.
Winner of BBC Radio Scotland Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2023, Edinburgh-born pianist
and composer Ben Shankland is swiftly gaining recognition on the UK jazz scene, bringing
his music to audiences at top festivals and venues. Sam Hancock, finalist at the BBC Radio
Scotland Young Jazz Musician 2024, joins him on vocals, having played across Scotland,
at events like the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival, and recently at the Scottish Arts Club.
