Scotland's largest choral society presents one of Sir Edward Elgar's crowning
achievements, his setting of John Henry Newman's poem The Dream of Gerontius
charting the passing of the soul from life to death. An outstanding group of soloists and
musicians joins the chorus in this epic and moving work.

Michael Downes will present a pre-concert talk on The Dream of Gerontius in the Marryat
