The St Andrews Chamber Orchestra perform Shostakovich's bright and buoyant ninth symphony, which was influenced not by the grandeur of Beethoven's ninth as was expected, but rather the humour and lightness of Haydn, conducted by Michael Downes and Bede Williams.

Mussorgsky's Khovanschina Overture and Henze's arrangement of Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder with soloist Jemma Brown complete the programme.
