Swiss pianist Francesco Piemontesi makes a welcome return to St Andrews to showcase his widely renowned prowess as a Mozart-interpreter. The programme concludes with a real rarity: a Serenade by the late Romantic Swedish composer Wilhelm Stenhammar, which pays tribute to the city of Florence.
With Francesco Piemontesi on piano and Andrew Manze as conductor, the concert includes Stravinsky's Concerto in D, Mozart's Piano Concerto no. 17 in F-flat, K595 and Stenhammar's Serenade in F.
