Rebecca Walker's recent monograph, ‘The Sense of Fracture in Goliarda Sapienza and Elena Ferrante' explores the work of two of Italy's major female writers whose literary representations of fractured female bodies and identities open up wider debates about selfhood, corporeality, and the ethics of human relationships.
The speakers will discuss the author's path-breaking work moving on to reflect critically on issues of female creativity and subjectivity in Italian culture.
