Postgraduate Researcher Welcome and Induction for online students

This Postgraduate Researcher Welcome and Induction will introduce new online (distance learning) research postgraduate (PGR) students to some of the services available to support online PGR students throughout their research degree, and provide an opportunity to ask questions about aspects of policy, procedure and practice, as well as to get to know some other new students.

All new online PGR students are expected to attend a PGR Welcome and Induction session in their first year. If you are unable to make this Semester 1 event, there will be a further Postgraduate Researcher Welcome for online students in Semester 2. Details to follow.

This is an online event. An in-person Postgraduate Researcher Welcome event will take place on Tuesday 6 October 2026. You are not required to attend both online and in-person events. Only come to this event if you study remotely.
