Join the Provost for an evening of lectures presented by postgraduate researchers from the University. This event will focus on the main theme of gender roles with the following presentations:
Weird Sex: Unusual Genetics and Female/Male Trade-offs – Thomas Hitchcock, Biology
‘Something divine about her': Mysticism and Feminism in Moderata Fonte's Works – Carlotta Moro, Modern Languages
‘Growing Mighty': Cú Chulainn and Gaelic Masculinity in Přdraig Pearse's Macghníomhartha Chúchulainn (1909) and The Defence of the Ford (1913) – Sadbh Kellet, English
Doors open at 5.15 pm, there will be a short welcome before presentations begin at 5.30 pm. A reception is to follow (subject to covid-safe guidelines).
