National Taiwan University-St Andrews online research forum
The University of St Andrews has developed a partnership with the National Taiwan University (NTU). This institutional link, which was supported by the School of Modern Languages in its initial development, has resulted in successful student exchange and reciprocal senior-level delegation visits. We are now hoping to encourage the expansion of research and education collaboration between our two institutions by piloting a seed funding scheme to support the early stages of innovative, collaborative project development.
We expect this new funding scheme to open early in the 2024-2025 academic year. In anticipation of its launch, we are keen to facilitate staff introductions and offer a productive space to discuss complementary and sustainable areas for future collaboration. The first of these joint online sessions will bring together St Andrews and NTU colleagues broadly working within the fields of marine science, biodiversity and climate change and aims to establish fruitful links between the Scottish Oceans Institute (SOI) and the NTU Ocean Center.
If you are interested in better understanding the NTU-St Andrews partnership and upcoming funding opportunity, as well as having the opportunity to identify a potential research collaborator, we would encourage you to join us for this online event.
This event is open to all academic colleagues broadly interested in the research fields listed above; no previous links with NTU are required. Please use the online form to register (includes tentative schedule).
The deadline to register for this event is Thursday 23 May. A link to the event will be emailed before Thursday 30 May to all those who register. All queries can be directed to Harriet Sheridan in the Global Office at [email protected].
