Narratives of exceptionality and the threat of cyberterrorism in liberal democracies Reading & Discussion Group
“The Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies invites you to join its reading group, “Narratives of Exceptionality and the Threat of Cyberterrorism in Liberal Democracies” happening on November 14, from 3 to 4pm.
This is an open space to discuss how the threat of cyberterrorism is narrated by academics, politics and media, in which we encourage participants to choose readings from a selected reading list as well as readings they found particularly relevant. Whether you are an expert or simply have an interest in:
* The construction and dissemination of narratives of exceptionalism
* The role of media and political discourse in shaping public perception of cyber-threats
* The impact of narratives on counterterrorism policies and practices
* The potential for overreach and erosion of civil liberties
To register your interest, and receive the reading list, please contact Louise Courbin (lmc26).
