Memorial Service to celebrate the life of JJ Valletta

Health guidelines for this event

  • Face masks required

All are welcome to a Memorial Service to celebrate the life of JJ Valletta, followed by a reception at the outdoor space by the Observatory building. JJ Valletta, Associate Lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, died while hillwalking on 25 October last year. This service will give students, staff and friends the opportunity to come together to remember him. All are welcome at the service, regardless of faith or philosophy of life — and the Chapel will accommodate all who wish to come. There will be a retiring collection for Scottish Mountain Rescue and the Andy Jackson Fund for Access. Following the service there will be a social walk, led by members of CREEM, through the Lade Braes to the reception location — subject to the weather conditions.
