Meet the author: Paul Cumbo

Join alumni and friends of the University to hear Paul Cumbo (MLitt 2005) discussing his second novel, Wilderness Therapy, with Dr Rose Harris-Birtill (PhD 2017).

Wilderness Therapy, which won first place in the 2020 annual Writer's Digest Self-Published Book Awards, is the story of 17-year-old Mike's journey to healing following his brother's death. A revenge-driven assault on a classmate sees Mike sent on a wilderness therapy programme in Montana instead of prison. However, events take a menacing turn and Mike's struggle for redemption becomes a struggle for survival.

The event will take place on Microsoft Teams Live* on Wednesday 17 February at 5pm GMT (12 noon EST), with a Q&A session following the talk. Please submit questions by 12 noon (GMT) on Monday 15 February to [email protected]. Questions may also be submitted during the event via the Q&A function.
