What is a F*up Night?
A “F*up Night” is a global movement and event series where people come together to share stories of professional failure. F*up Nights aim to change the perception of failure from something to be avoided at all costs to an integral part of the learning and growth process.
1. Storytelling Format: During a F*up Night event, speakers (typically entrepreneurs, business leaders, or professionals) take the stage to share their personal stories of failure. Each speaker usually has around 7-10 minutes to tell their story, followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
2. Focus on Learning: The primary goal is to destigmatize failure and to learn from it. By openly discussing failures, attendees can gain insights into what went wrong and how the speakers handled the aftermath, providing valuable lessons and inspiration.
3. Casual and Open Environment: The atmosphere at F*up Nights is typically casual, open, and supportive. It encourages honesty and vulnerability, making it a safe space for sharing experiences that are often difficult to talk about.
4. Networking Opportunities: These events also serve as networking opportunities, where attendees can connect with like-minded individuals, share their own experiences, and possibly find mentors or collaborators.
5. Diverse Range of Failures: The failures discussed can range from business ventures that didn't pan out, projects that fell apart, to personal setbacks that had a professional impact. The diversity of stories helps highlight that failure is a common experience across various fields and industries.
A relaxed atmosphere, inspiring conversations and speakers, drinks, and pizza. This is your golden opportunity to reconnect with fellow founders and start building a supportive community. We'll have a Founder from each institution join us too, to share their experiences and spotlight their business.
