Grand Tour of West Highland Museum’s Top 100 Objects
This is an online event hosted by Open Virtual Worlds and the West Highland Museum. Access to the livestream will be provided via Eventbrite, so please reserve your spot at the provided link. Tickets are free and all are welcome!
The West Highland Museum’s collections tell the story of the region and its history. Join curators, guest speakers, and the university’s Open Virtual Worlds team on a journey through the West Highland Museum’s top 100 artefacts from these collections.
Our most renowned and unusual collection relates to Bonnie Prince Charlie and the Jacobite cause. But we also hold a wealth of curious and fascinating collections relating to less well-known aspects of the lives of the people of the West Highlands, from the effects of political warfare, to the economic impact of tourism in the region, and the coming of the industrial and modern ages. Join us as we bring the museum to you, with 100 diverse artefacts chosen to tell these stories.
