Global Conversation: 'The Future of Museums -- Recover and Reimagine'
Dr Richard Bates, School of Earth & Environmental Sciences, will chair the Global Conversation series. This session will be on ‘The Future of Museums: Recover and Reimagine' as part of the International Museum Day celebrations during the month of May 2021.
Facilitated by the interdisciplinary the Scottish Funding Council's Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) Cultural Heritage Hub Consolidation Project based at the University of St Andrews, this webinar is part of a global conversation series for GCRF researchers based at the University and our international partners.
The conversation webinars will create a platform for sharing knowledge and experience from GCRF research. Aiming to inspire collaboration for sustainable partnerships between the University, communities and global institutions will help researchers achieve their project's ambitions.

Dr Alan Miller, School of Computer Science
Alan has been involved in the use of Virtual World technologies for Cultural Heritage for more than ten years. He is a member of the Open Virtual Worlds (OVW) research group at the University of St Andrews and co-CEO of Smart History.
Ronald Martínez Villarreal, National Museum of Costa Rica

The GCRF Cultural Heritage Hub Consolidation Project conducts interdisciplinary research in Tanzania, Peru, Costa Rica and Ukraine. The project has received funding from the GCRF.
