Getting started with Microsoft Planner Cuppa Teams is a fortnightly drop-in to raise awareness of digital tools.
Managing tasks and coordinating work across teams can become challenging when activities are tracked informally, spread across emails, or divided between multiple tools. It can be difficult to maintain visibility of progress, keep responsibilities clear, and ensure deadlines are met. While tools like Outlook, To Do and spreadsheets can support individual task management, they do not always provide a shared, visual way to organise and track collaborative work.
In this session, we'll explore how Microsoft Planner can be used to organise tasks and manage team-based work more effectively. We'll demonstrate how to create plans, structure work using buckets, and assign tasks with clear owners and deadlines. We'll look at how features such as labels, filters and different views (including charts and schedules) can help teams stay organised and monitor progress at a glance. We'll also show how Planner integrates with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Loop and the Tasks app, enabling you to manage your work seamlessly across Microsoft 365 and keep everything connected in one place.
Join the meeting directly from the Cuppa Teams channel meeting link or contact Monica (mcc28) on Teams for a calendar invite. Additionally, we'll have a session at Walter Bower House, in meeting room 5, on Wednesday at 11am. If you'd like a reminder, please reach out.
