Following his triumphant concert at the Laidlaw Music Centre in 2022, world-renowned Dutch cellist Pieter Wispelwey returns with duo partner, the Scottish pianist Alasdair Beatson. Their programme includes César Franck's sonata in A, more commonly heard on the violin, a set of variations by Schubert more commonly heard on the flute and a brooding sonata from the Soviet Union.
