Celebrating the history of St Andrews feminism

The Early Career Women's Network (ECWN) and StAIGS (the St Andrews Institute for Gender Studies) are co-hosting this event to celebrate the history of St Andrews feminism.

Following an introduction by Head of Equality and Diversity Sukhi Bains, invited speaker historian Dr Sarah Browne will present 'Listening to the Past: Women's Liberation Activism in St Andrews', based on her research into feminist activism in St Andrews from 1968 to 1979.

The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion with original members of the Women's Liberation Movement in 1970s St Andrews, introduced by Principal Professor Sally Mapstone, with questions from the Feminist Student Society and a Q&A session.

Refreshments will be provided. Sign up via Eventbrite to attend this free public event or email the ECWN on [email protected] for more information.
