2025 Film Studies Postgraduate Research Conference

The annual Film Studies Postgraduate Research Conference will take place on May 9th, 2025. The event is organised by PhD students Camila Contreras-Langlois and Sara Lucia Guerrero.

The conference panels will include contributions from current students Ilinca Vânău, Hal Young, Richard Bolisay, Rachel Ng, Yuanxin Chu, as well as both organisers.

We are pleased to welcome Dr Javier Perez-Osorio, Lecturer at the University of Stirling, as this year's keynote speaker. Dr Perez-Osorio holds a PhD in Film and Screen Studies from the University of Cambridge. His research explores the intersections of film studies, queer cinema, and decolonial thought in Latin America.
